History, me complaining, history, stuff about the immediate hood (Truxton Circle) and the surrounding neighborhood (Shaw), gentrification, demographics, and some more history.
About Me
- Name: Mari
- Location: Hyattsville, MD, United States
This started as InShaw Now With More Gentrification which eventually moved to blog.inshaw.com. Now I mainly do Truxton Circle History, as I am the #1 expert in that topic! I created other blogs to serve a need or an itch.

Which one is 1419? The one where nobody lives now? I live in 1425. Just curious, and too lazy to register for ziprealty.
1419 is blue with white trim. Next to the yellow house. It has a chain link fence. Long front yard. It is two stories high. That's the best I can do for ya babe.
Oh, that house. $300K? I hope nobody pays that much, let's keep those property prices down folks! One of my housemates said there is an open house (Saturday I think) for a house that is for sale on 3rd street, if you feel like checking it out. I'm not sure what number, but it's on the block between O and P, on the west side of the street.
Okay Anon,
1430 3rd St NW, is going for a measly $350K for it's 3 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. Still New Jersey Ave is the cheapest thing in Shaw.
check out www.homesdatabase.com - you don't have to create an account to view listings - of which there are 139 in 20001.
The most expensive listing? $4.5 million for what looks to be a church or some such... The least expensive? $199,000 for a 1 BR 1 bath condo.
